The majority of the field set their fastest times on their last lap in the second Moto3 practice session but as has been the case for so much of the year it was Danny Kent who topped the timesheet. The Leopard Racing start ended the day almost two tenths of a second faster than Brad Binder and Niccolo Antonelli.

Efren Vazquez had a fall on his final lap and ended the day fourth fastest after leading the way in opening practice. Jorge Navarro was back on form in the afternoon and fifth fastest. John McPhee improved to 15th fastest.
