Cal's new colours for Silverstone?

Cal Crutchlow tested today at Brno using a new livery on his LCR Honda with Castrol on the fairings of his RV213v. The team has faced an uncertain future in recent months with the ongoing investigation into their title sponsor CWM.

Since then there has been constant rumours that they would end their agreement with the financial services company and search for a new title sponsor. At today’s Brno test Lucio Cecchinello confirmed that the team is evaluating their options at the moment but that a decision will not be made until later this week.

“It’s a new livery, but we are making a video commercial for our sponsor Castrol,” said the Italian. “That’s why we didn’t make a statement about this livery. From a contract point of view at this moment we are still linked with our current sponsor and we need to meet them and decide the future. Normally we will continue to go with CWM, unless we take a different decision. I think it will be done by the end of this week, or beginning of next week.”
