Guardia Civilia have arrested a man on the Spanish island of Mallorca after a large collection of Jorge Lorenzo memorabilia was stolen from a collection the double world champion had donated to the Balearic Motorcycle Federation for display.

The collection, which included leathers, helmets boots and gloves, was recovered intact form a garage in the Mallorcan town of Inca. Two men have been charged in relation to the crime, with one for the initial robbery and another for receiving stolen goods.

Lorenzo, currently testing in Sepang, was said to have been relieved with the quick recovery of the display items due to their value to his home federation.
