Kent second fastest in final Moto3 test

The wind and rain that affected this week’s Jerez test will have done little to dent Danny Kent’s confidence ahead of the new Moto3 season with the Englishman finishing the week second fastest with Jorge Navarro quickest.

Kent continued his strong form in pre-season form and having moved to Leopard Racing he has adapted well to the Honda throughout the winter. Last year Kent struggled in the early races as he returned to Moto3 but his pace throughout the second half of the season showed that he still had the potential to be a contender in the class. This year he’ll start the season in Qatar hitting the ground running.

For Navarro this week was an important step for the Spanish rookie having been outpaced by his highly rated teammate, Fabio Quatararo who ended the week third fastest. John McPhee ended the day tenth fastest.

The new season starts next weekend in Qatar with opening practice taking place on Thursday evening.
