First career win for Oliveira

In a thrilling Moto3 race that saw the lead change hands on almost lap by lap basis for the most part Miguel Oliviera was able to come through the pack and claim his first career win at Mugello. Oliviera led for the majority of the final third of the race but with a 13 man dice for the win nothing could be taken for granted and he had to earn the win after dropping down the lead group on the final lap.

Danny Kent consolidated his championship lead with a hugely impressive and intelligent ride to finish in the wheel tracks of Oliveira with Romano Fenati rounding out the podium finishers.
