Iannone and Rossi top FP3

1 of 1

Andrea Iannone and Valentino Rossi have made it an Italian one-two at Valencia in free practice three, with the pair the only two to dip into the 1:30 lap times.

However, the duo were just ahead of Marc Marquez, who, concentrating on race pace set-up during the 45 minute session, was able to string together a strong string of laps only 0.1-0.2 seconds slower than the top pace.

Bradley Smith made the improvement he was promising after yesterday’s fifteenth place, jumping to fourth ahead of four factory machines.

Jorge Lorenzo was fifth, left frustrated after having Michele Pirro baulk him on one of his fastest laps – but was still almost able to match Marquez on his consistent pace.
