Marc Marquez said that the aftermath of his Sepang clash with Valentino Rossi has been the most difficult time of his life. Enduring the strain of the aftermath of Malaysia has been a challenge for Marquez.

“This has been one of the most difficult weeks in my life,” admitted Marquez. “After Malaysia I tried to forget and concentrate one hundred per cent for try to prepare for the last race of the season, which is important for us. It was a hard experience and it is not easy for a rider and also at 22-years-old it is not easy to be like this, but I think this for the future will help me a lot because I learn many, many things. I will continue learning and we must improve for the next season but my target is always to try to fight for the championship.”

With the storm having been centred on him for two weeks it was easy to see that Marquez was keen to get back to work and move on from the storm.

“I regret just that I don’t finish the race for my team and for my target. Every race I am trying to do my best like everybody in his job, in his work: when you are working you are trying to do your best and every time I go out on the track I am trying to do my best for my sponsors, for my team. I did in Malaysia, I did in Australia and in Japan and I will try to do my best this weekend, try to finish in the front or in the podium.”

A failure to prepare is the preparation for failure and with Marc Marquez having been taking out of his normal rhythm in recent weeks following Sepang he’s keen to get back to action this weekend. With the media’s attention firmly focussed on Marquez and Valentino Rossi in the last ten days Marquez said that he is glad to be back with his “second family” and ready to work in Valencia.

“It was not possible to prepare in the normal way because, like everybody knows, it was difficult about everything,” said Marquez. “But now I am here and am I with my second family, with my team, and this helps me a lot. We are trying to prepare well for the weekend and try to finish the season in a good result if possible like every weekend, fighting for the victory: if not, fighting for the podium.”
