Lorenzo sprains shoulder in training accident

Spanish media are reporting that Jorge Lorenzo’s 2015 MotoGP title aspirations may have suffered a major blow, after the Movistar Yamaha rider sprained his left shoulder in a training accident ahead of MotoGP’s three back-to-back flyaway races.

Lorenzo reportedly injured the same shoulder he broke in his 2013 Assen crash in his final training session before flying out to Japan for the season’s most gruelling three-week period.

While he is reported to have only sprained and not broken the shoulder, with Valentino Rossi fourteen points clear of him in the title chase the Spaniard needs to ensure that he has every advantage he can get, with only four races remaining in the year.
