A late crash couldn’t half Enea Bastianini’s momentum at Aragon with the Italian leading the way at Aragon. The Gresini rider crashed after contact with Hiroki Ono on his final lap of the day. Bastianini was overtaking Ono but his rear wheel was clipped by the Japanese rider after Bastianini overtook him and claimed the racing line.

The session ended with Bastianini less that two hundredths of a second faster than Miguel Oliviera and Jorge Navarro. Danny Kent, who leads the championship by 55 points, was sixth fastest with the British rider four tenths off the pace and lacking confidence in his bike under braking.
