BT Sport have confirmed MCN’s story from last week that Suzi Perry will return to MotoGP, becoming the new face of the broadcaster’s coverage alongside Craig Doyle.

A huge fan favourite in the past, Perry has been absent from the paddock for a number of years, being replaced by Jenny Gow at the BBC in 2011 after thirteen years on the job.

“I’m really excited to be joining BT Sport and working with their tremendous team. Motorsport continues to be massive in the UK and I can’t wait to bring BT Sport viewers all of the action from in front of the camera.”

Her place in the line-up will also see her take on other roles within BT Sport’s motorsports coverage, including helping to host the recently acquired Speedway GP series.

BT Sport will be hoping that the addition of the experienced Perry to the role, replacing former presenters Iwan Thomas and Abbi Griffiths, will bring some much-needed stability. A tumultuous start to their coverage of MotoGP has seen a number of faces take on the role, beginning with launch presenter Mel Sykes, only to be quickly replaced.
