MotoGP: Yamaha boss Jarvis ‘We’ve assembled a dream team’

Yamaha Racing boss Lin Jarvis says that the addition of the youth of Maverick Viñales to the experience of Valentino Rossi for the 2017 and 2018 seasons mean that the squad have now assemble his ultimate dream team, as he sets out to replace the loss of Jorge Lorenzo after nine seasons and three world titles.

“This coming season has the potential to be very exciting. MotoGP is at a very high level, having six manufacturers present is exceptional, and I remember the years where we were struggling to fill the grid with mainly Honda and Yamaha keeping it afloat.

“From our own selfish perspective, we’ve got a really super team with Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales, became we have a living legend with an extraordinary career who’s been second the last two seasons and is super attractive for fans on one side of the garage, and the best possible hungriest young talent on the other side.
