Bradley Smith to join Valentino Rossi at TT

Valentino Rossi is not the only big Grand Prix star making a special visit to the Isle of Man TT this weekend.

British sensation Bradley Smith, who is currently leading the world 125GP championship after his second victory of 2009 in Mugello last weekend, will also be attending the legendary TT races on Saturday.

And in a special honour to the 18-year-old’s brilliant form in 2009, he will get to present the trophies after the Superbike race on Saturday.

Smith, who broke his GP victory duck in Jerez earlier this season and has now become Britain’s most successful GP rider since Barry Sheene, said: “I’m really looking forward to experiencing the TT. It is such a famous event and I’ve got a lot of respect for the guys that race there. It’s also a massive honour for me to present the trophies after the Superbike race.”

Smith is back on track at the Catalunya GP in Spain next weekend (June 12-14) where he will start holding a 3.5-point lead over Aspar Aprilia team-mate Julian Simon.
