Rutter aims for seventh Macau GP win

Michael Rutter is gunning for a record seventh victory at Macau next month, riding in the colours of Team of Paris AXA Racing on an MSS Kawasaki ZX-10, alongside MSS’ regular BSB star Simon Andrews.

Rutter, who currently ties with former Grand Prix hero Ron Haslam on six wins, won’t have it all his own way though as he lines up in a star-studded international field for the 43rd running of the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix on Saturday, November 21.

Rutter said: “I love the place and really have that seventh victory in my sights. I know it’s going to be tough. The opposition this year is impressive but I also know that MSS put together a fast and reliable superbike.”

MSS team boss Nick Morgan added: “We’ve had a great year in BSB and this could be the icing on the cake. Everyone knows Michael’s form around the Guia street circuit and I genuinely think Simon could spring a surprise, given the year he’s had in BSB.”
Riders from ten countries from across Europe, Asia Pacific and the USA, will do battle over 15 laps of the Guia circuit and joining Rutter and Andrews in the Team of Paris-AXA Racing squad is Frenchman Gerald Muteau, runner-up in the 600 Supersport class last year.
