Tinmouth rules out TT return for 2015

Jenny Tinmouth, the fastest woman ever around the 37.73 mile Isle of Man TT circuit, has ruled out a comeback for 2015, despite her new deal with the factory Honda MCE British Superbike team that also support John McGuinness and Conor Cummins.

Tinmouth last raced at the TT back in 2010, a year after making her debut at the circuit. Setting a lap record for a female competitor in her newcomer year, she went on to beat it again in her second year with a 119.945mph lap that took her to 34th in the Senior TT.

However, with her goals for 2015 aimed firmly at a strong year in BSB, she told MCN that she won’t be back at the TT just yet.

“I won’t be back at the TT this year for sure. The team are keen for me to concentrate on BSB and give 100% commitment to that, so I won’t be back – for now!”

“I’ll still be over on the Island for two weeks as a Honda representative though, which will be really cool!”
