TT winners Ryan Farquhar and Gary Johnson will be joining the Thundersport GP1 Elite regulars at Donington Park this Easter weekend. And best of all tickets are just £5, including a program.

Easter has traditionally been the start of the major UK racing season. It used to signal the beginning of the BSB season (but now the first round at Silverstone doesn’t kick off until 8-10 April), as well as the famous old Trans-Atlantic Match Races.

Farquar and Johnson will also be joined on the grid by TT regulars Dan Hegarty, John Ingram and Irish Superbike champion Eoghan Delaney, as well as all regulars in the second round of the GP1 Elite championship, including Curtis Wright, Josh Day, Craig Neve, Lee Williams, Jonathan Lodge and Dave Brook.

It’s not the first time TT stars have visited the club. Last year Michael Dunlop used the Thundersport GP1 round at Donington to shake down his Milwaukee Yamaha R1.

Race fans will also be able enjoy a full program of 38 races on Easter Sunday 27th and Monday 28th March on the Donington national layout circuit, which also includes 600s, golden era superbikes and super twins. The Aprilia Challenge will also be in action and it’s a class that’s been a breeding ground for top racers including Casey Stoner, Chaz Davies, Cal Crutchlow, Bradley Smith, Tom Sykes, Leon Camier and James Elison.

Thundersport GB boss, Dave Stewart explains the thinking behind the cut-price Easter racing bonanza: “What we really want is for people to come and have a look so that they can see how good the racing is and how different our kind of racing is to the old style club racing they might remember.”
