Hillier out for success at North West 200

After taking three podiums at last year’s Isle of Man TT, James Hillier heads into the 2016 roads season brimming with confidence.

The Hampshire star is keen to build on his count of two podiums at the North West 200 as the event gets underway in Northern Ireland this week.

Campaigning the updated Kawasaki ZX-10R in the big bike classes, Hillier and the Quattro Plant Muc Off Kawasaki squad have undergone an extensive testing schedule which included gate-crashing Honda’s traditional pre-North West 200 test at Castle Combe. His ZX-6R supersport bike and ER-6-based supertwin have also been tweaked for 2016 leaving Hillier feeling more confident than ever before.

“I’m feeling good and ready to get stuck in to be honest” he said. “I’ve probably done more testing than I’ve ever done before as we had a bit of work to do on the new ZX-10R but I’m ready as I’ll ever be. I want to give a better account of myself at this year’s NW200 and get back to the podium form I showed in 2012 and 2013 and with the weather forecast looking good, we’ve definitely got the potential to run at the sharp end.”
