Supersport pole for Seeley

1 of 1

Alastair Seeley will start this week’s North West 200 Supersport races from pole position after decimating the opposition in final qualifying.

Storming to his second pole of the day, Seeley lapped the Triangle course 1.018seconds quicker than Riders Kawasaki’s Martin Jessopp.

Lee Johnston battled through the pain to take a heroic third ahead of William Dunlop, who hasn’t been slowed by an eleventh hour team switch.

John McGuinness took a strong fifth place ahead of Peter Hickman and Michael Rutter, with Dean Harrison, James Hillier and Jeremy McWilliams rounding out the top ten.

The first supersport race will kick off at 6pm this evening with the second beginning proceedings on Saturday.
