A number of MCE British Superbike stars have descended on Northern Ireland this weekend for the annual Sunflower Trophy races at Bishopscourt.

British Superbike Champions Be Wiser PBM Ducati top the entry list with local rider Glenn Irwin, while multiple BSB podium finisher Christian Iddon is also set to be in the mix with the Tyco BMW squad.

Fresh from riding in the European Superstock 1000 championship at Jerez last weekend, Danny Buchan will be going for his third Sunflower victory this weekend as he returns to the event on an MSS-prepared ZX-10R. Should he succeed, Buchan will be just the third rider in the event’s history to win the event three times, joining Brian Morrison and Michael Laverty in the Sunflower history books.

Two of British Supersport stars will also feature as the event gets underway today, including Gearlink Kawasaki’s Andrew Irwin and EHA Racing’s David Allingham.
