Foggy targets Corser

Troy Corser has been approached by Carl Fogarty to ride the new Petronas World Superbike.

He hasn’t said yes to the offer yet because he’s still considering buying his job back at Aprilia.

He told MCN: ” I’ve had talks with both Aprilia and Carl. There should be some definite news within the next few days. ”

Foggy had said he wants a British riders to join his new team, but he also stressed he wants the best man for the job – even if that’s an Aussie.

If neither of these rides come off it could be a bleak season for the 1996 world champion.

He made a promising start at Aprilia last year, and was a title challenger early in the season.

But it all fell apart half-way through the season, and he eventually finished fourth overall on the works RSV Mille.
