FIM verdict in CBR row

1 of 1

The row over the weight of the rear axle in Honda’s World Supersport CBR600s has been resolved and the six riders disqualified at the end of the Oschersleben round have had their points restored.

Honda says it made a mistake when filling in forms when it said its rear axle weighed 600 grams. It should be 560 grams. The firm has been fined 35,000 Swiss Francs by the FIM for the oversight (around £15,000).

The ruling means Ten Kate Honda’s Karl Muggeridge is back on top of the the WSS championship going into this weekend’s Silverstone round.
