Qatar WSB test begins

Testing began on Sunday, December 4, 2005 for the World Superbike teams in Qatar.

The three-day Pirelli tyre test at the Losail Circuit is an opportunity to test at the circuit which will open the 2006 championship, and most of the top teams have attended.

Leading the unofficial times on the first day was 2005 champion Troy Corser, but it took until the last 30 minutes for him to push past the Xerox Ducatis of Lorenzo Lanzi and Troy Bayliss. Lanzi crashed with two minutes left in the session but was unhurt. James Toseland also showed good form with the fourth quickest time following his switch to Honda for 2006.
