Xaus returns to WSB

Ruben Xaus has returned to the World Superbike championship for 2006 in a new team using Ducati 999 F04s.

Xaus wil race for Team Sterilgarda Berik alongside Marco Borciani. Xaus rode in WSB in 2001-2003, winning nine of the 77 races inw hich he competed, with a further 22 podiums.

Borciani will run the team, which will give him the option to move into management when he decides to retire as a rider.

In World Supersport, Team SC Caracchi has announced it will run the only Ducati 749Rs in the championship, and will not compete in World Superbike. The supersport machines will be ridden by Australian Josh Brooks and Slovenian Luka Nedog.
