Published: 11 November 2006

2006 World Supersport runner-up Kevin Curtain will miss the first official winter test in Valencia next week as he continues to spend time in Australia.

Curtain arrived at the final round of the 2006 championship with a commanding points lead over Sebastien Charpentier, and only had to finish eighth to win the championship but crashed out of the race and gifted the Frenchman his second title.

Curtain's Yamaha Germany team has made further advancements to the R6 and will test new electronics and engine parts.

It will also be the first time out for Kawasaki's new Supersport 600 project with Fabien Foret and Pere Riba expected to get their first try out on the all-new 2007 ZX6-R.
