Bayliss top at Lausitz

Troy Bayliss has set the fastest lap after the first day at the Lausitz Ring World Superbike round.

Bayliss could rap up the title this weekend if he continues this form, but Troy Corser seems determined to try and stop him, finishing just two tenths of a second down.

The third fastest lap went to Corser’s team-mate Yukio Kagayama followed by the Yamaha of Andrew Pitt just 0.002 seconds down.

James Toseland only managed to hold eighth place after suffering gearbox problems.
