Corser takes Assen pole

Troy Corser has stormed to pole position after a dry superpole session for the Assen round of the World Superbike championship.

The Suzuki rider was the only rider to drop below the 1:39 mark in the Superpole session.

Noriyuki Haga stormed to second place on the grid just 0.044 seconds behind Corser followed by Corser’s team-mate Yukio Kagayama and Troy Bayliss taking the final place on the front row.

Alex Barros leads the second row followed by Karl Muggeridge, James Toseland and Andrew Pitt.
