Brands Hatch World Supersport: Sebastien Charpentier disqualified from results

Hannspree Ten Kate Honda’s Sebastien Charpentier has been disqualified from the World Supersport race at Brands Hatch this afternoon for failing to go to parc ferme.

The French rider was supposed to go to the parc ferme area following this afternoon’s race as he had scored a point from his 15th place finish in the race.

Race stewards found that he had not conformed to technical regulations and therefore excluded him from the results.

It was not a good day for Sebastien Charpentier who had to start from pit lane after a problem before the race. He should have started from pole position.

The rider to benefit from this was Intermoto Czech’s Mauro Sanchini who will now get one point.

The race was won by Yamaha’s Broc Parkes with Charpentier’s teammate, Kenan Sofuoglu, celebrating his World Supersport Championship victory after his second place.
