WSB final testing

World Superbike testing enters its final stage in February with all the top teams completing their own tests at various tracks around the world.

First to get on track are the factory Kawasaki squad of Fonsi Nieto and Regis Laconi who will spend two days at Valencia on February 5 and 6, 2007.

James Toseland’s Ten Kate Honda squad will have to get their official team launch in Milan on February 6 out the way first before flying direct to Valencia themselves for a two day test on the 7 and 8.

They will be joined by the DFX Honda team of Steve Martin and Michel Fabrizio along with Dean Ellison on the Pedercini Ducati.

On February 11 and 12 the Xerox Ducati team of Troy Bayliss and Lorenzo Lanzi will get their first taste of the Vallelunga circuit near Rome in Italy.

Vallelunga has replaced Imola on the WSB calendar and so far out of this year’s top men only Max Biaggi has ridden the circuit onboard a Superbike.

Xerox Ducati will be joined by the one man Sterilgarda Ducati team of Ruben Xaus who will get his first taste of his new Ducati 999 F06 during the two days.

Meanwhile Alstare Suzuki, Yamaha Italia and Alto Evolution Honda will head further a field with a two day test in Qatar.

This should prove good preparation for the opening race of the year at the desert circuit on February 24.

Max Biaggi, Yukio Kagayama, Troy Corser and Noriyuki Haga will be under watchful eyes as the day after their test finishes the MotoGP paddock will descend on to the track for a three day test.

It will also be the first official outing of the Alto Evolution team (formely Bertocchi KawasakI) which features the all Aussie line-up of Karl Muggeridge and Josh Brookes.
