Chris Walker tests Paul Bird Motorsport Superbike

Chris Walker has just completed his first test onboard the Paul Bird Motorsport Honda Superbike at Oulton Park with the popular Brit poised to make a dramatic return to the World Superbike Championship in ten days time at the Brands Hatch WSB round.

MCN has been given exclusive access to the test, which if successful will see Walker back on a Superbike at his home race after spending the 2008 season so far competing on the Gil Motorsport Kawasaki in World Supersport.

Walker completed just and handful of flying laps in the fast group of an MSV track day but despite being severely held up by backmarkers still found the track time useful to reacquaint himself with a 200+bhp World Superbike.

Speaking to MCN, Walker said:

“Right now I’m blown away just how small and nimble the bike is but with so much power – it’s mega. Having just come from racing at Brno which is a real wide open track on a 600 Supersport bike to a track like Oulton Park on a Superbike is unreal.

“I’ve got more track time this afternoon but there is definitely some work to do to recalibrate my brain for the Superbike.”

Walker is set to be complete more laps during the lunch break where he will get the track to himself for 30 minutes. He also plans to be back out on track this afternoon riding in the fast group.
