SC Caracchi Triumph back, Garry McCoy injured

The Italian SC Caracchi Triumph World Supersport team will be back in action this weekend at Misano after missing the Nurburgring race in Germany two weeks ago.

The team were forced out of the German race due technical problems that drastically affected the reliability and performance of the 675cc three cylinder Triumph motor.

Whilst it’s good news that the team will be back in action, they will be in Misano with an injured rider after number one man Garry McCoy suffered broken toes in a testing crash at Misano two weeks ago.

McCoy has a reputation of riding through the pain barrier with injuries though as he rode at Qatar with a broken leg.

Team manager Stefano Caracchi said: “We should be OK for Misano. We have a new engine which we’ve tested on the dyno and the track and so far we have seen more reliability and more power, but we will see at the weekend.

“The problem now is Garry crashed at our test in Misano and he’s broken some toes. It was only ten days ago, but Garry is saying he will be ok for this weekend.”
