Current WSB Championship leader Noriyuki Haga will race at the next WSB round at Brno, Xerox Ducati has said.

Haga, who crashed during the second race at Donington Park on Sunday, underwent successful surgery after fracturing the ulna in his right arm.

A statement by Xerox Ducati said: “The Ducati Xerox rider will not participate in the next tests at Imola but it is foreseen that he will compete in the next round at Brno.”

Before the surgery, staff at the Derby City Hospital inspected his right shoulder and an x-ray showed he has multiple fractures to his left scapula. The fractures needed no surgery, and medical staff are confident the fractures will heal.

Haga currently leads the WSB championship 14 points ahead of rival Ben Spies.
