Hopkins in Almeria for first WSB test –Exclusive Pictures

John Hopkins is minutes away from getting his first taste of the Stiggy Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade he’ll campaign in the World Superbike Championship this year.

The former Kawasaki MotoGP rider is currently at Almeria in Spain where he will complete a one day test in preparation for this weekend’s third round of the championship at Valencia.

Hopkins is yet to venture out on track due to cold track temperature and light rain showers, but is expected to complete his first laps on the Honda Superbike this afternoon.

Team-mate Leon Haslam has been out on track but complained of a lack of grip due to the low temperatures. The British rider is planning to test a number of development parts including electronics and suspension.
