Sofuoglu takes supersport pole

Reigning World Supersport Champion Kenan Sofuoglu fought off competition from PJ Jacobsen and Luke Stapleford to take pole position for tomorrow’s World Supersport race at Donington Park.

The four-time World Champion’s time of 1’30.298 places him 0.224 ahead of American Jacobson with local rider Luke Stapleford completing the front row in third.

Alex Baldolini leads row two ahead of Randy Krummenacher and Ayrton Badovini, with Britain’s Gino Rea and Kyle Smith heading up the third row of the grid.

Lorenzo Zanetti will start ninth on the MV Agusta ahead of Ilya Mikhalchik with Alessandro Zaconne and Onrej Jezek rounding out the top 12.

The remaining Brits, Stefan Hill and Kyle Ryde will start 23rd and 26th respectively.
