We won't go again

Me, my son and brother went to watch the WSB at Silverstone. We sat in the freezing rain waiting for the second race to then hear that it was to dangerous for the riders. I thought we might have had some sort of a refund… We wont be going again

Vankeymeulen injury woes

Speculation that Didier Vankeymeulen will be out of the Superstock 1000 and World Endurance championships for 3 months after his Silverstone crash may be slightly pessimistic. The TTSL-MGM Racing rider has broken his L1 vertebrae, along with a wrist but hopes to be back on a bike earlier than was feared.

Wash out at Silverstone

If it’s not F1 Siverstone are not interested! It seems all they’re interested in is making money, they do not care about the fans. Having decided to brave the rain to support our local hero JT we arrived at the circuit and paid our £45. We decided to go to Becketts Corner as this had been recommended as a good spot. We noticed that despite the wheather conditions all the stands except for the...

Seat fiasco made Silverstone dangerous

Did anyone like the “roaming grandstand seat” arrangement at Silverstone for the WSB meeting? I have been to many racing events and never seen so many arguments. The idea is everyone who paid entrance had a grandstand seat. However, hundreds of fans either hadn’t been there before or weren’t aware that not all grandstands were covered. My friend and I knew we wanted to be at the dodgy chicane in...

Rain at Silverstone

I was unfortunate enough to attend WSB at Silverstone and witness half a day’s racing with no mention of a refund. The riders who I admired so much said conditions were too dangerous to race so I expect relaxed in the corporate entertainment of the hospitality areas provided by various sponsors whilst I rode in the same pi**ing rain back to north Devon. Like hundreds of other bikers I had handed...

Silverstone wash-out

Well done Eurosport for swapping channels… I had set for it to record WSB while I was out, but missed the lot. Well done for all those that went to Silverstone and all those racing in such horrible conditions. My 16-year-old son had a good start to his motorcycling career – he took his CBT in that terrible weather.

Why was it cancelled?

Silverstone WSB cancelled!? I was there, it wasn’t raining that bad – in fact when the second superbike race should have started it wasn’t even raining, they sweeped all the water off the racing lines. I’ve seen much worse at Brands and Donington BSB last year and Donington MotoGP the year before. I reckon the riders just didn’t fancy it… 45 quid for a couple of races is bo**ocks. I sat there all...

Silverstone pricing

Firstly I would like to agree with everybody else about the crap TV coverage of Silverstone WSB by Eurosport. My big gripe is that I went to Silverstone on Friday for practice, which was great. Really wanted to go Sunday… I dont know if it’s me but £45 each to get in on race day is the usual Silverstone pull your pants down pricing. It’s true what Mr Ecclestone says: this race facility really...
