New kit this week

Motocross and mountain bike powerhouse Fox Racing have entered the adventure sector with three all new jackets, the Recon (£999.99), Defend (£789.99) and Ranger (featured). Featuring fully seam sealed Gore-Tex materials and D3O protectors for elbow, shoulder and back, the philosophy is for a lightweight chassis with exceptional performance in all weathers.
A new addition to Roadskin’s range of highly rated riding jeans, these two-piece waterproofs are available individually or as a bundle with free travel pouch. They have fully bonded seams designed to keep you dry in even the heaviest of downpours, and feature a mesh lining for comfort and breathability. Sizes range from S to XXL.
Boasting a CE AAA rating and level 2 armour for shoulder, elbow, hip and knee, this one piece race suit is constructed from 1.2mm cowhide with extra reinforcements at impact zones. It has large stretch panels to ensure maximum manoeuvrability, and generous perforations for airflow. A two piece option is also available.
Free yourself from garden hoses and extension leads with this portable rechargeable pressure washer. It has an integrated 20 litre tank and 40V lithium-Ion battery that should give up to 24 minutes operating time. Included is a range of lances for different applications, 5m of hose and a litre of Muc-Off’s Nano-Tech cleaner.
Designed to fit almost any bike, this duffle bag is constructed from a seamless 500D PVC shell to ensure maximum protection against rain, water and spray. It’s been temperature tested from -30°C to 70°C and mounts by looping around racks, rails or grab handles. A wide roll top closure makes it easy to fill, and it comes in black or grey.

Last weeks’s releases

Heading up Bull-It’s 2024 range is the CE AAA certified Guardian jean. Construction is Covec Oneskin, a lightweight and highly abrasion resistant denim, and protection includes CE level 1 RE ZERO breathable and biodegradable armour for the hip and knee. Three leg lengths are available, but they only come in jet black with a straight fit.
Price: £99.99 RRP
These all-new gloves from Richa have a waterproof and breathable Aquashell PRO membrane the firm claims will ensure hands stay dry whatever the weather. Ventilation includes perforated panels and fixed air vents, plus they have a fleece lining for warmth. Thermoplastic rubber-injected armour with D3O sheet inserts protect knuckle, fingers and inner palm.
Designed to offer a total protection solution for smart phones, this heavy-duty case is military drop-test certified and waterproof to IP68 standard. It’s mud and dust resistant, includes specific protection for delicate camera lenses and is MagSafe compatible. Full touchscreen functionality is apparently retained, and a variety of mounts are available.
Price: $27.21
Cleaning and lubing chains can be a messy business, with your rear wheel and brake disc particularly vulnerable to the fluids involved. This reusable device from Oxford is designed to sit behind the sprocket and prevent messy sprays and lubes from going where you don’t want them. It can be trimmed to size and fits both left and right chain drives.
This new sports helmet features an aerodynamically designed lightweight carbon-aramid shell, with a wide viewing aperture, moisture wicking interior and emergency quick release cheek pads. Clear and light smoke visors are included, along with a Pinlock insert, chin curtain and breath deflector. The chin strap has a double D fastener and it comes with a five-year warranty.

He has built up a wealth of experience in putting the latest machinery through its paces, as well as subjecting every aspect of motorcycle kit to the rigours of real-world riding. A lifelong two-wheel enthusiast with a deep passion for motorcycles, Justin first hit the streets at 16 on a Suzuki TS50X and has since owned more bikes than he cares to remember. A spell as a London courier saw him cut his biking teeth on some of the country’s busiest roads and as an instructor he has striven to give many a novice the grounding to do the same. Justin has ridden on four continents (so far), both as a solo rider and as a tour guide, tackling terrain from the perilous mountain roads of the Himalayas to rugged South African dirt tracks, sweeping North American highways and the glorious passes of the European Alps. He likes nothing more than an early start for a full day in the saddle and takes great pleasure in sniffing out those roads less travelled – to Justin, every bike is an adventure bike. When not testing products, Justin can usually be found in his shed, where he maintains, restores and rebuilds not just bikes, but anything mechanical that comes his way. He currently owns a 2010 Triumph Sprint 1050 ST, 1998 Yamaha TRX 850 and is running a 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Pan America as a long termer.
