Honda CTX1300 spied during film shoot

Honda’s 2014 CTX1300 cruiser has been spotted by a spy snapper while on a shoot for its promotional video.

The new bike, which looks like the offspring of an F6B and a DN-01, very clearly sports an identical looking motor to that used by the ST1300, while the styling is an unabashed attempt to take the cruiser market into new territory.

Shaft drive, hard panniers, cubby boxes, speakers, twin-disc front brakes with six-pot calipers, mid-mounted rider footpegs, and swept back bars all conspire to make for a practical and comfortable-looking ride.

The big unknown is whether anyone really wants a tourer/cruiser/bagger crossover. We expect to see the bike properly unveiled at the Milan Motorcycle Show, EICMA, during the first week of November.
