These huge savings on tyres and tyre accessories will help you freshen your rubber for less!

We’ve all been there; the sun comes out and you decide to jump on the bike to get to work or have a quick, unplanned Sunday morning blast. Then, a few corners into the ride, you remember that you were meaning to swap your tyres last year and the squared-off rear is every bit as bad as you remembered.

Or worse, you whip the cover off to discover that slow puncture has sped up quite a lot and now you’ve got a flat!

Luckily, there are loads of deals on tyres around at the moment, including over a third off some tyre packages at Demon Tweeks. We’ve also spotted deals on some tyre changing tools that will help if you fancy changing your own tyres at home, as well as inflators and repair kits.

The Michelin Road 6 is the latest in a long line of well-regarded sports-touring tyres from the French firm. Good performance from a much-loved tyre. They make bikes feel nimble and lighter than they are and have decent ride. If you’re cautious in deep water they have a lot to offer and promise excellent dry-road performance, too.

Not only are they long lasting, the Supercorsa V4 SPs work in a wide temperature window, don’t need specific suspension adjustments, or tyre warmers. And with no warmers you won’t need stands, a power source, van or trailer.

For the first time the front Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyre is dual compound with a central silica compound strip for stability and modicum of wet weather performance and full carbon black SC3 race compound on the edges for maximum dry grip.

The new rear is also dual compound with SC3 shoulders and a new base layer to control the temperature in extreme conditions, like today with the track surface reaching 53 degrees. A new tread design gives the biggest slick footprint possible, distributes side force and drains water.

They’re also designed to give maximum performance running both road and lower track pressures, which Pirelli say isn’t easy compared to a tyre that only has to handle road or track.

Some tyres promise a lot but deliver much less, yet that is not the case with the Roadtec 02s – for their purpose of a sporty, touring tyre it’s genuinely hard to fault them, especially after over 1000 miles of use in all conditions.

Not only do they offer a solid amount of support, but they also manage to transmit an impressive amount of feedback back to the rider, resulting in serious confidence to ride in a sportier, more spirited manner.

Yet the finest thing is how they perform in cold, wet and damp conditions – offering not only a very decent level of grip, but also an impressive amount of feel, something which is difficult to find in a lot of tyres built with mileage in mind.

"There have been three occasions in my life when I've watched bikes gracefully keel over and land like beached whales on their sides thanks to collapsing paddock stands. Thankfully, I'm confident it won't happen with a front and rear motorcycle paddock stand from Oxford. The long handle section gives good leverage to hoik even the heaviest bikes off terra firma, and once lifted, the bike feels rock-solid and secure.

"Crucially, they also use double wheels per arm, ensuring there's less torsional twist when the mass of your bike is bearing down on them. Great value for money."

Tested by Ben Clarke for three months:

"The Ring RTC4000 is the firm’s second most powerful cordless tyre inflator, with a 120W output and 120PSI maximum inflation pressure. The unit is pretty 3 small (150mm x 95mm x 61mm) and isn’t particularly heavy either (757g) so you can pack it in a big backpack or a pannier for a long trip or a tour, but it’s too big to keep under a seat or in a smaller backpack. You charge it through a USB-C port on the base and a full charge was more than enough to inflate a flat 200/55 x 17 rear tyre."

Pros

  • Compact and lightweight, but still powerful
  • USB-C charging is a big win for convenience
  • Can inflate from flat to full

This kit from Gear Gremlin includes everything you need to repair and re-inflate a punctured tyre in a handy carry case. The CO2 canisters can be purchased separately, too.

Tested by Jim Blackstock:

"There are two main ways to get going again if you have a puncture – this or a can of spray-in tyre repair. But the latter makes a horrendous mess and many professionals may not entertain carrying out a permanent repair afterwards.

"You can use the Gear Gremlin motorcycle tyre repair kit up to five times before getting more worms. That's as long as the hole is smaller than the specified 6mm maximum. Also assuming you have some way of re-inflating the tyre, like a small rechargeable compressor or additional canisters of gas. But it’s small enough to take with you on any major ride."
