Rebellion, freedom and style. The Cafe Racer culture, one of the most influential movements in the history of motorcycling, blends with the Scrambler soul in the new, unedited, Scrambler Cafe Racer. And with the new ''Silver Ice Matt'' colour the Land of Joy is ready for another revolution. The typical Scrambler teardrop tank with interchangeable panels is combined with a new seat, specially designed and equipped with a seat cover for the passenger. The handlebars with mirrors attached to the ends are typical of 60s racing; the same goes for the Termignoni exhaust with double silencer, the headlight fairing, the side number holders and the new Pirelli Diablo and #153; Rosso II with 17 aluminium wheels. The Cafe Racer uses Ducati's 803cc Air Cooled, L-Twin Desmodronic distribution engine which produces 73BHP and 67NM of Torque. The bike has a wet weight of 193Kgs and a 14 litre fuel tank. With a seat height of 805mm, the bike comes equipped with Cornering ABS, A full fuel gauge and a gear indicator.A full walkaround of the bike is available at https://youtu.be/dXY_rbBjBIsThis bike is currently on display at our Peterborough branch, but with a little notice the team can arrange viewing at the most convenient store for a prospective buyer. MCN overall review verdict: Even though the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled technically belongs to the Scrambler family, it doesn’t. Related: this bike appears in our Best Enduro Motorbikes feature Related: Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled and BMW Urban G/S meet their ancestors Related: Henry Crews has Desert Sled stolen Related: Ducati Scrambler range updated for 2019 It’s a genuine off-road capable bike in retro form, currently the only bike of its kind on the market. If you fancy the Scrambler style but don’t like the idea of going off-road, then this isn’t for you. Ducati has put serious effort into the Sled’s off-road credentials, and they’ve done a brilliant job of delivering a first true homage to the ‘Scrambler’ name.
