An original CB750 Sandcast. Fifty years on, its hard to imagine the impact the Honda CB750 had on the motorcycling world when it was unveilled to a stunned public at the Tokyo motorcycle show in October 1968. The CB750 made its United States debut in January 1969 and the UK in April 1969. Later models would become die cast mass produced examples. This model with chassis number 1004844 and engine number 1004691 is one of a few remaining rare collectable pieces. The bike that gave The USA and indeed the UK motorcycle industry a bloody nose. Ridden by the ordinary man in the street to film stars of the day, it was the bike to be seen on. Named the sand cast because of the finish on the engine castings that resembled a sand cast finish although they are pressed from steel moulds using a low pressure die casting, but sand cast stuck and has remained ever since. An investment that keeps on giving, these original CB750s are increasing in value at an alarming rate. This beautiful example comes with UK registration, V5 and 1 key. Please note that historical classic vehicles are as an investment opportunity and are not supplied under the same terms and conditions as modern day running motorcycles.
