When Honda bought the new ADV to the market back at the start of 2017 it was a real game changer and a market innovation that hadn't been seen before. The idea was simple... to produce a scooter which has the ability to go off-road with plenty of torque to deliver the power needed whatever the terrain. The ideal power plant that Honda had in their armoury was the successful, punchy twin engine used in the NC750 range and featruing the new DCT gearbox. The ADV750 is more commonly known as the X-ADV, with the X stemming from the Motorcross scene. It not only gives you the capability of an off- roader, but the versatility that means that it is equally at home on the streets and often used as a daily commuter with plenty of street credibility. This September 2017 model was supplied by us here at Doble Motorcycles to its owner who has kept it since then and only covered 4895 miles in all. It has been fitted with a set of Honda's new and innovative 5-stage integrated heated handle bar grips in place of the standard ones. Not only that, it also comes with a genuine Honda OEM quick-release top-box case and carrier system which enables you to take the box off and indoors with a simple turn of the key. It even shares the ignition key so you don't have to have a big bunch of them. In addition, the owner has invested in the smart, genuine Honda brushed aluminium X-ADV branded floor pan boards which give it a smart finishing touch. Presented in Honda's Pearl Glare White Metallic colour option with Red and Blue graphics. This colour combination is often referred to as Honda's HRC colours and tends to be one of the most desirable options going. It really does look the business in the flesh and being priced keenly, it's unlikely to hang around.(Subject to a £99.00 vehicle preparation fee)Doble Motorcycles stock number 13411.Compare insurance quotes

Why buy from Doble Motorcycles
Doble Motorcycles is a long established family run business founded in 1967 by Mike Doble senior and late brother Chris Doble. It all started with just one shop no. 88 Brighton road selling one or two step through mopeds and motorcycle servicing. Chris managed the bike business while Mike set up a used car showroom across the road at 103, this also took off very well and thrived as the motor industry boomed. Time moved on and expansion was inevitable for the Motorcycle shop. Honda was increasing its model range rapidly with big sellers like the Superdream and CX500. The adjacent shop no. 90 was acquired and soon become filled with exciting new models. But again the market grew and the need to expand soon arrived. Seeming to take over one end of Coulsdon no. 86 was sought and another 50% increase in size took place. Honda's market share also grew to keep customers coming back time and time again. It became apparent that car sales were not able to keep pace with the two wheeled sales, so all resources were pooled together to once again double the business size to give huge choice and diversity to the customer. Doble Motorcycles Selling and specialising in the world's leading makes from day one has been Doble's biggest strength. Mike Doble Junior and Paul Styles now run the dealership along with Mike Doble Senior, Anne Doble, and a good enthusiastic and dedicated team who all love working with motorcycles. Dobles have been nominated Honda dealer of the year four times. The award is not just based on sales, but on product presentation and more importantly, all round customer care. This is something Dobles pride themselves on and a practise, which has earned them a reputation for service & reliability throughout their many years in Coulsdon.
MCN overall review verdict: The X-ADV is still a scooter, but thanks to the higher stance and Honda's DCT system it offers a dynamic and fun ride that other maxi-scooters can only dream of. It's engaging to ride and will handle light off-road work should you fancy it. The biggest stumbling block is the price. At £9,599 it's firmly in the territory of 'proper' adventure bikes such as the BMW F800GS and Suzuki V-Strom, although in reality Honda's X-ADV is a very different proposition to any adventure bike.
