Why buy from TINKLERS MOTORCYCLES LTD
Tinklers' Motorcycles was established in1933. Tinklers has always been a family run business. The current owners Adam and Alison are third generation. They are very pleased to have their youngest son, Grant now working in the business as a motorcycle salesman. They are all proud to be part of the Tinklers heritage. The shop is still in the same location, however it has changed alot over the years, from a very small shop front and separate workshop, to a showroom displaying up to 80 bikes at any one time and providing a large clothing and accessories department. Tinklers is Norfolk's only premier exclusive Yamaha dealer. Tinklers has proudly held the Yamaha franchise since 1971. 2015 brings several new models to the Yamaha range. These include the eagerly awaited R1, R1m and Tracer. There has been an enormous amount of interest and excitement from many of our customers, hoping to be able to own one of these fantastic new models. During the winter, Tinklers has refurbished their showroom. There are stunning new plinths for the bikes and display stands for accessories and clothing. Tinklers are very proud to have received a 'Master of Customer Care Award' at the end of 2014, from Yamaha Motor Uk. Customer service has always been a priority and vital part of the success of the company. Very loyal, long serving staff understand and promote the customer service ethic. The parts department is headed by Philip Stratton, who has been employed by Tinklers for 30 years. His knowledge of our product ranges etc is extremely vast, second to none. The workshop is headed by Adrian Fisher, who has been employed by Tinklers for over 40 years, again his knowledge and experience of the Yamaha range is extremely vast, second to none.
MCN overall review verdict: The Niken will never appeal to everybody, however with the additions the GT model brings it does make a bit more sense as a sports tourer. We're running a Yamaha Niken GT on the MCN long-term test fleet The security the extra wheel gives you in a straight line suits motorway miles and when you get to unfamiliar winding roads the same extra wheel does bring a lovely feeling of front end control, so it certainly works better as a sports tourer. But while the GT modifications make it more comfortable, the panniers are disappointingly cheap feeling and it lacks any useful cubby holes, making its GT premise feel a bit like an afterthought. But is it any better than a two-wheeled sports tourer such as the Tracer 900 GT that is £4k cheaper and 50kg lighter? It’s certainly a different riding experience, but not necessarily a better one.
