R&G offer plastic lever guards for £39.99 each

1 of 1

Since becoming compulsory in racing, lever guards have grown in popularity with trackdayers and even road riders getting in on the act. The idea is that they stop front brake levers being squeezed on when there’s inadvertent contact between handlebar and an outside object like another bike or rider (on a track) or something like a bus (on the road).

These new offerings from crash protection people R&G are made from plastic and meet the regulations laid down by world racing’s governing body, the FIM. They’re available in black, blue, red, orange or green and are available for both brake and clutch side.

R&G have had pure carbon-fibre guards available for a while, but they involve a more significant outlay of £150 per guard.
