With many owners and members of the motorcycle press complaining about high frequencey vibrations through the bars of the BMW S1000XR, Cymarc have sought to remedy the problem with their aftermarket bar ends.

The steel poder-coated bar ends weigh 270g each and are designed specifically to soak up the vibes on the XR. The fasteners are made from stainless steel.

The bar ends cost £39 a pair and are easy to fit, with no need for specialist tools or knowledge.

MCN's Senior Reporter Andy Downes has been testing a BMW S1000XR this year as a long-term test bike. He said: "I've not experienced any real issues about vibration on my bike but I know of others who have. It seems to vary according to bikes and owners and the perception people have of unacceptable vibration. Heavier bar end weights can help reduce this and I have been using some Evotech ones which do take away what little buzzing I could feel."
