AirHawk Integrated Seat, £549

Hardcore distance riders have long put their trust (and bottoms) into AirHawk’s seat cushions, from Iron Butt Rally regulars to Ewan McGregor on the original Long Way Round. Rather than simply add layers of gel or foam padding, AirHawks use inflatable, adjustable air chambers to give balanced support without letting any pressure points form.

Now they’ve integrated this technology into a complete replacement seat for BMW’s R1200GS. It features a built-in pump and bleeder valve, letting a rider adjust the inflation level even while they’re sat on the bike.

It’s available in standard and lowered heights for both air-cooled (£549) and water-cooled (£559) versions of the R1200GS.
