Intermot: AGV launch AX9 adventure helmet

AGV have introduced a new dual purpose adventure touring helmet for 2019, designed to be worn both on and off-road.

An updated version of the AX8 helmet, the AX9 features a removable peak and Pinlock-ready panoramic visor system, meaning it can also be worn with goggles.

A fully removable chin vent and nose guard also means maximum airflow to the riders’ face when tackling off-road.

Multiple colours for the new AGV

Available in multiple colour schemes and priced at £339.99, the helmet is built using a combination of carbon, aramid and glass fibre, meaning it weighs 1.445kg (+/- 50g). The mono matt carbon design weighs slightly less at 1.365kg (+/- 50g).

With three shell sizes on offer, the interior aims to offer the maximum in rider comfort, with moisture wicking and skin irritation treatments found on both the cheek pads and crown. What’s more, all elements of the interior are also removable and washable.

Those riders wearing glasses are also catered for, thanks to specially designed inserts within the lid and there is room to install an aftermarket intercom, should you use one.

A Double-D ring retention keeps the helmet in place and the peak is adjustable to remain stable at high speed. A micro visor opening system also helps with slightly more airflow to the rider.
