Clothing giants have released details of their 2019 clothing range, which aims to offer class-leading protection in any riding environment for both male and female motorcyclists.

Ranging from airbag-ready jackets to new one and two-piece leather suits, each design aims to use the latest technology to enhance both safety and comfort, across any season.

In a statement released last week, the firm claim: “The new line-up is the result of thousands of hours of R&D testing and evaluation in the laboratory, on the road and on the racetrack in the most challenging of conditions in a never-ending quest to improve overall functionality, performance, safety and comfort.”

Winter is coming

After such a long summer, with plenty of opportunities for sun-soaked riding, it seems a shame to think about the colder, shorter days of winter. However, as we move into the autumn and the temperatures begin to drop, it makes sense to begin by exploring Alpinestars’ 2019 winter glove collection.

Comprising of seven new models, each pair is CE-certified to Cat II Level 1 standard, which is reassuring to know when it’s cold and grip levels are reduced.

Expanded urban range

Alongside an expanded winter collection, such attention to detail can also be found in the urban range, which continues to grow thanks to the rise of the retro bike scene.

A prime example of this is the Ray Canvas v2 Jacket, which features a hand-waxed canvas cotton and poly-fabric main shell, with triple stitching at the seams for durability. Level 1 CE protection can be found at the shoulders and elbows, with pockets to house an optional chest and back protector.

Airbags for all

As part of their increased focus on safety, Alpinestars have also widened the range of garments compatible with their Tech-Air system in both their road and track collections.

For 2019, the Missile one and two-piece leather suits, the Andes Pro Drystar jacket and the Specter jacket are all available with the inflatable tech, which gives protection to the rider’s the full back, shoulders, kidneys and chest.

Keen to expand their product reach as far as possible, an extended focus on both their casual and Honda-specific ranges have also been applied, meaning you can now show your appreciation for Alpinestars in more scenarios away from your bike.
