Roland Sands strand gloves

1 of 1

Roland Sands made his name creating some absolutely bonkers and beautiful custom bikes, such as the MT-09 Faster Wasp, but he’s also involved in the world of motorcycle clothing, with some pretty cool designs.

And to date, Roland now has some new gloves featured at The Bike Shed in London — Has Halloween come early?

The ‘Strand’ gloves come in black or white and give off a bit of a skeleton vibe, if you’re into that sort of thing. They’re built using lightweight and breathable materials – much like motocross gloves – so they’re seemingly perfect for hot summer days, but don’t offer much in the way of protection should you come off.

The strands on the backs of the fingers are made from leather, while the palms are constructed from Clarino to offer maximum feel while riding. As is becoming more common, the tips on the thumb and index finger feature ‘cell touch layers’, so you don’t have to remove the gloves to use your smartphone. The index and middle fingers also feature a silicon strip for better grip on the brake and clutch levers.

So like we said, if you fancy picking up a pair, head to The BS and grab them for £45. But if they’re not quite to your liking there are several alternative Roland Sands gloves for sale at the MCN Shop.
