Product review: Aerostich Ultralight trousers

Aerostich Ultralight trousers
Miles covered/time:
1000 / two months

What’s good: So simple, so brilliant. Waterproof trousers that fold into their own pocket and pack small enough to stash into a tail unit or tuck away in a tank bag.

Waterproof zips extend all the way to the knee allowing fast entry and the waist has a simple toggle and elastic drawstring so they’ll fit over kit no matter how bulky.

When the rain stops they’re dry in seconds, ready to whip off at the next petrol stop.

What’s not: Lightweight means thin so they won’t withstand heavy abuse or a brush with a hot exhaust, but they’re tougher than they look.

Rating: 4/5
