What do I need?
Full riding kit, including wet weather clobber, and your own bike.
What does it involve?
This is a full days training tailored to your requirements. Riding coaches sit down, ask you which riding skills you want to work on, and assess your abilities, before creating a course to suit you.
The morning will be spent on theory, and the afternoon riding out in to the Dales to put this in to practice. The team teach police riding techniques.
The general aims of the course are to improve concentration, observation, positioning and cornering, develop skills in braking, use of gears and overtaking and enable riders to anticipate potential hazards and to spot and anticipate dangers well in advance.
Finally the guys want to help you get the best performance from your bike. The emphasis is on having fun and learning in a relaxed atmosphere, where there is no such thing as a stupid question.
Coaches have the ability to record you riding at the start of the day, and then again at the end so you can see the improvement to your riding which you will!
MCN's verdict: Well worth a trip to County Durham for suitable for any standard of rider due to the way the course is structured to your abilities and needs.
