One in the eye for Gatsos

1 of 1

Some people lash out on sophisticated Gatso-dodging electronica, some people just slow down for them. But one rider has come up with a method of avoiding a speeding ticket James Bond would be proud of.

Dave Marler from Birmingham has rigged a switch to the bars of his Kawasaki GPz500 that spits the contents of an underseat diesel tank into his exhaust system, creating the dense Gatso-blinding cloud of white smoke from the bike’s end can.

Marler, 42, from Birmingham, hasn’t (of course) used the system for actual camera-dodging – that would be illegal – but he says it does at least offer the possibility of speeding past Gatsos with nothing to worry about, except perhaps a pull from the law to check out his exhaust emissions.
