Spot ‘dpc’ on tour on Wednesday

1 of 1

JUST two days left to spot MCN’s David Cushman on tour. Pull it off and you could win a great prize.

All you have to do is go up to him at one of his frequent stops, hand over your name, address and daytime contact details and you’ll be entered in the draw for a smart Furygan TXR fabric jacket, worth £170.

And if you’re already talking to him, take a moment to tell ‘dpc’ (that’s his user name on the site) what you think MCN and motorcyclenews.com should be doing better, and what it should stop doing altogether.

Dpc is riding his long term test ZZ-R1200, a silver one with hard panniers on. He’s wearing an Alpinestars all-weather jacket in red and black and an Arai Astro lid in red/grey/white.

Today he’ll be Oban early doors to head north on the A828 towards Ballachullish. He’ll go up to Fort William and through spectacular country to Glen Nevis (towards Ben Nevis). Then it’s back to Fort William to go west on the A830 road to the isles for views of the Glenfinnan monument, the viaduct and Lock Shiel before heading west for a planned lunch stop at Arisaig.

From there he’s off to Morar to take a look at the islands of Eigg, Rum and Skye and Loch Morar. When he gets to Mallaig it’s time to turn round and head back to Fort William for an overnight stop.

We’ll let you know where you could join him for a pint with more clues later today.

Keep checking back for updates on his progress throughout today and the rest of the week.

UPDATE: 05.00pm

Dpc has arrived in one piece at Fort William. He reckons that the Scots make up all those stories of bad weather, just to keep the English of their amazing roads! For stunning views and pristine Tarmac dpc recommends the A830. You won’t be disappointed – he reckons it’s as good as anything on the Continent.

To make it easy to track him down tonight he’s out in Fort William wearing his black, MCN-logo shirt. You can’t miss him. Remember, all you have to do is go up to him at one of his frequent stops, hand over your name, address and daytime contact details and you’ll be entered in the draw for a smart Furygan TXR fabric jacket, worth £170.

UPDATE 11.40am

Having decided not to climb Ben Nevis as it would mean using two feet instead of two wheels, Dpc will be heading back to Fort William. He’ll be taking the A830 towards Glenfinnan, and plans to take a light lunch in Arisaig.

UPDATE: 09.30am

Dpc has just called in to tell us the sun is shining on him, and he’s just winding up the A828 to Ballachullish.
